  9. I just finished your tea cosy and loved making it. Very simple, easy fast pattern. Perfect for a last minute gift.

For the leaf pattern, what does "R" stand for? I'm not familiar with that abbreviation. Maybe I'm missing something obvious.

Either way, thanks for a great pattern. =)

  19. Hello I'm working on your cosy I think I might be doing it wrong? I've done the four rows of k1 p1 and starting the rows where you cast off four? now as I look at it lol it don't look like yours yet and I'm not sure if I'm casting off right? I did the regurlar knit bind off it has a funny shape at the bottom and the one side only has 28 stitches on the needle? I hope I'm not doing it wrong but thought I better stop and check before going any further. I'm afraid I may have to start over I'd like to have it by sunday I'm just afraid I'm doing it wrong on the cast off part so there for its not coming out right I'm on row 15 I hope I'm not doing it wrong but it looks funny LOL :) I'd apprecate any help I'll go back and look at the directions again hope your day is well.

    Happy Knitting Tammy

I made this tea cosy as my first knitting project ever, and it turned out beautifully. The only changes made were that I knitted in stokingette rather than rib (couldn't work out how to do rib!!) and I sews on a button to hold the kitting together between the handle... I looks awesome - great, easy to follow pattern.

  27. Hmm its knitted on a worsted weight,if you lay it flat there should be an opening in the middle, for spout, the sewn up side is the handle opening.I simply cast on in the flat knit for so many rows, cast off in the middle a couple of stitches to allow for spout thickness then made sure I knitted the same number of rows for both sides, rejoined at top and did the decrease, when finished at top, I left enough yarn to sew down a little way and secured, then sewed the bottom up again just enough so it could be slipped over the tea pot handle as a firm fit.It can be knit in the round, its a matter of making sure you knit the same number of rounds each side to match each other, less sewing too! Good luck and hope this is clearer

Perfect simple pattern! Thank you so much for sharing it. I am going to make it into an apple for our local Orchard Tea Rooms so have leaves instead of flowers on the top, but the body of it is just what I was looking for!
