My New Machine

Well Ihad time to add another post so here I am!
My new toy, the Ertoel New Age wheel, I love it ,its fast and fun,and Ihope to do heaps on it.

The wool is a combination of angora and wool from the Bendigo Mills that I picked up there on a trip home two years ago.I had wanted to use the treadle wheel but had a sore back and when the opportunity to own a Ertoel came up,well ..I leapt at it.

Not sur what I will make with it,probably a Clopotis ..My DH laughs every time I mention the word.....what am I saying thats so funny....what is he thinking....men.

I have 200g done, should be more but time is short, anyway while at work No3 son called to say that Tilly had nicked a ball of it from the table and it was "a ball of Fluff" in the middle of the lawn..yikes

Well, she only tangled it and I have been able to rewind the fluff back into a normal ball..

I would love to dye it,after reading the Yarn Magazines story about food colouring and jellies, has anyone tried it yet?

The guilty party....Tilly.........resting in the washing that DH tried to get the boys to sort his way,I won't comment on this ,he might read my words..................

Well something different.. My oldest trying to break his neck on a jump he spent three hours building and with Dad as photo expert, performed some tricks.

He is a semi pro BMXer ,sponsored and working hard on getting better and making Mum broke(or trying to) .He is working towards a new frame to be ready for the next comp. This a great photo ,look at the back light.........We had lots of really good ones but the computor went on the blink and they were lost!

Well thats it for tonight, kids have to be feed and sent to bed and a bit of knitting for me(but I have run out of Chocy!! bugger)

Now doesn't she look cute!!!!!

Hey everyone, hope Christmas was a beaut day full of fun and relaxation!
Haven't been on for ages, the computor lost the harddrive twice due to a virus imported from a friends computor, and of course I was just busy and too tired to do anything outside school and kids.
I managed to complete the red socks even if it was a little late but they will be winging their way to Tasmania to the lucky recipient!
Now I have started a pair for my youngest son as he was keen to have a pair all for him.Well his foot is still fairly small so it shouldn't take long.

The red socks were made of patonyle that I found on Ebay, and this colour isn't available anymore according to Patons! and guess what!!!! I found more of it,(along with cream and black),enough for four pairs and left overs to play colour blocks with!

Christmas bought me a bundle of Freedom Cotton, that I was eyeing off for ages and I am being strong so that I don't start it until some UFO's are finished!Wish me luck!!!!!!

And a bag that I "guided" my blood to buy for me,with help from our lovely neighbour who is the shop owner where the bag was temperarily living!Just right for my sock projects and colourful as well! Its at the top of page, perfect for me,thanks boys!!!!!!!!!!!!

The beginning of Bens socks, yesterday!!

and today,looking good!

My Camera has made some photos upside down and didn't realise til after I had put it on here, but I have fixed future editions by changing to landscape!!!!!!!!!

Lots to Do

Well this is my third post and if anyone is reading this ,it has been a success!
Lots to do,in my garden heaps, after work of course, but its looking fantastic!!!!!!!

Just look at these blue bells, we had a very cold few days during winter this year and I think this helped the bulbs, well I'm pretty sure as there actually a report of some snow near Lake Lefroy ,Norseman and near Kalgoorlie, and one morning at work there was ice at least 5mm thick till ten . It was freezing!!!!

My garden is looking fantastic, and it is mostly what should be in there too!! I took My two youngest boys to the nursery and spent some hard earned dollars on some fantastic petunias, lobelias, red salvias,Though I wanted blue ones, and two convulous, and a beautiful leusinaultia. Not sure how to spell that, but shines at dusk and its indescribable, the iridesant blue, I hope I can get it to grow and that my Tilly JR, doesn't stomp on it!!!!

On the knitting front ,I knitted this for my Mum while talking to her on Sunday via phone,Its possum wool called Merino and Furand knits up really well.Apparently its great for felting, but I have front loader,a necessity for a large family in a low rain fall area!,so haven't tried any projects yet.i might try it by hand but need to research first.

I have nearly finished the fancy soxs (see previous post) and vow to get them done this week as I have heaps to do!!!! lots of sock stuff and am hoping to add to my stash with some new opal wool that should be in Sunspun shortly, they are going to call me,so better budget for it as I think it will be a bit pricey.

Well thats it for now, hope this works.

Well here we go, my 2nd post, isn't my school garden doing well, just love these flowers!!!!
Now look at my current project.................... its above the plants, for some reason this site is being difficult tonite. These are a beautiful socks in 8ply and fairly quick and hopefully I will complete the second this week.
I am going to keep trying to add to this post and hopefully learn on the way to improve and MAKE it do what I want!!!!!!
Well it wouldn't go in the sequence I wanted, so I'll leave this for now at least I had fun!!!!!!! and you can see I have doing something besides adding to my stash,,,,which I will talk about another time......

My Very First Post

Well here goes,
This is my very first blog and I'm looking forward to keeping up with entries and learning more about making it interesting to those who might venture into its depths.

I am right into craft of all different things, but mainly fibre works such as knitting and spinning and even a bit of crochet. My big aim this week is to order a brand new Roberta Electronic spinning wheel from the man himself,Ian spark from Ertoel in Sydney. its a costly little thing and I will only be getting the machine and its carry bag at this stage.

I hope to learn how to post my digdy photos on here so next post will hopefully, have some interesting things.
