Lots to Do

Well this is my third post and if anyone is reading this ,it has been a success!
Lots to do,in my garden heaps, after work of course, but its looking fantastic!!!!!!!

Just look at these blue bells, we had a very cold few days during winter this year and I think this helped the bulbs, well I'm pretty sure as there actually a report of some snow near Lake Lefroy ,Norseman and near Kalgoorlie, and one morning at work there was ice at least 5mm thick till ten . It was freezing!!!!

My garden is looking fantastic, and it is mostly what should be in there too!! I took My two youngest boys to the nursery and spent some hard earned dollars on some fantastic petunias, lobelias, red salvias,Though I wanted blue ones, and two convulous, and a beautiful leusinaultia. Not sure how to spell that, but shines at dusk and its indescribable, the iridesant blue, I hope I can get it to grow and that my Tilly JR, doesn't stomp on it!!!!

On the knitting front ,I knitted this for my Mum while talking to her on Sunday via phone,Its possum wool called Merino and Furand knits up really well.Apparently its great for felting, but I have front loader,a necessity for a large family in a low rain fall area!,so haven't tried any projects yet.i might try it by hand but need to research first.

I have nearly finished the fancy soxs (see previous post) and vow to get them done this week as I have heaps to do!!!! lots of sock stuff and am hoping to add to my stash with some new opal wool that should be in Sunspun shortly, they are going to call me,so better budget for it as I think it will be a bit pricey.

Well thats it for now, hope this works.

  4. Welcome to the land of blog.

Your garden will be even prettier than it is now when all the new plants are growing well.

I agree with Rachael that word verification will help to get rid of the spammers. I haven't long turned it on and it's a God send. NO MORE SPAMMERS. HOORAY.

  5. Hi Cathy, little black crow here, thanks for visiting my blog.
I've been wanting to try the possum wool as it sounded intresting. Is it a soft wool, I suppose it must be if your using it for a scarf?
I see we have another intrest in common, gardening, I'm just about to post up some shots from my garden, I love the blue folwers too.
It's interesting about the 'word verification',
I have to look into that myself.
    cheers

  6. Hi Cathy and welcome to blogland, it is addictive and I spend way too much time reading peoples blogs, oh well there could be worse things I suppose. I admire people who garden as I do not and find it very frustrating as I have this terrible habit of killing everything.

Thanks for visiting my blog and your lovely comments, now you have a lovely Christmas with your boys and a happy and safe new year.
